“ If you have an early flight out of Kailua-Kona, stop by Matsuyama Food Mart for quick grab and go snacks and bentos! This is on the way to the airport/rental car drop off. Me and my husband bought 2 musubis, a tray of spam and bulgogi musubi, and a breakfast bento with fried rice, eggs and spam. It was a portion worth sharing and with the four items total cost us less than $17. This is far less than what you'd pay for a single bento at Umeke's at the Airport (approximately $14 for a breakfast bento). ”
“ I'm updating my review my niehboor is going to the to the big Island and i highly recommend he go here with his family to see it all in one place.. ”
“ Minus a star because, like seemingly everywhere in HI, there are not public restrooms. Seriously, what is the deal with this in HI? This is how you get people doing their business on the side of a road. There are also so many geriatrics that live in/frequently visit HI and...having a place to go is disproportionately important to that demographic. Anyway, they have great local snacks here and it's located up in the hills, away from the riff-raff. This is a great place to fuel up before summiting Hualalai, the third most-prominent peak on the island: https://www.peakbagger.com/peak.aspx?pid=11910 ”
“ Favorite spam musubi on the island and convenient for last minute needs nearby. Good food and service every time. ”
“ Amazing food! Great service! And the new location is beautiful and conveniently located by the air port! ”
“ Came in to check out some plate lunch offerings late afternoon and was pleased to see a happy hour special of $5 for what sushi, bowls and poke was still present after 530 so we stocked up on poke nachos, spicy crab, spicy ahi inari and some sushi. Was impressed at the quality of fish and how the rice wasn't dried out! so good! Noticed so many people grabbing pizzas and burgers here as well - we were so curious how they were too but will try another time! ”
“ Who knew you could find the best Hawaiian rice bowls in a market?! This place was so good that we went here for breakfast two days in a row! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for affordable, delicious and high quality food! ”
“ We kept driving by this market and never had the chance to stop by here until we needed to fill on gas for a long trip out to Hilo. I grabbed a shrimp bento for only $6.59. It seems to have a huge rush of locals picking up lunches or breakfast for the day. Cashier was friendly. ”
“ Fast service (I called my order in), reasonable prices and ono (delicious) food! We got a hamburger, Korean chicken plate, Katsu plate. Katsu was more soft and not as crunchy as some Other. Korean chicken was perfect. Both came with Mac salad. Hamburger was $5 and came with veggies and some sort of house sauce. Was nice. ”
